Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Radar Chief Systems Engineer to support radar programs at the Colorado Springs location. The role focuses on developing and sustaining advanced radar solutions within a dynamic defense environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s or 7+ years with a Graduate Degree, and a Secret clearance. Travel up to 10% may be required; salary range reflects Colorado pay transparency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of experience; graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years in lieu of a degree.
Technical leadership experience for teams larger than 50 people.
Experience in radar software, signal processing, or RF hardware.
Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

Ensure systems-engineering processes are followed across the program (waterfall or agile).
Maintain accuracy and integrity of the program’s technical baseline.
Lead development of CONOPS, conduct trade studies, and perform requirements analysis/verification.
Translate customer requirements into complete system solutions balancing tech, schedule, and cost.
Lead root-cause investigations and corrective-action teams.
Travel up to 10% as required.
