Job summary

RTX's Space & Airborne Center in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead IV&V activities, integrate hardware and software, and verify system requirements across labs and field environments.

You will collaborate with IPTLs, develop test plans, analyze data with MATLAB, and mentor junior engineers while supporting sustainment and transition tasks.

This onsite role requires 5+ years in radar verification, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 5+ years in radar verification, test, and integration.
• Experience in system integration and test activities with hardware and software.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting electronics with test equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute IV&V activities in labs or field.
• Troubleshoot and perform data analyses, including root cause action.
• Handle hardware modules with support equipment.
• Document test data and use analysis tools such as MATLAB.
• Prepare and present results to internal/external stakeholders.
• Support test and troubleshooting of hardware.
• Interpret and maintain design drawings and schematics.
• Maintain engineering databases.
• Develop system solutions with engineering teams.
• Directly support IPTL via meetings and tasks.
• Lead small IV&V task teams.
• Coordinate across functions for complex program tasks.
• Test event support may require travel up to 10%.
