Job summary

RTX’s Space & Airborne Center in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to integrate hardware and software, develop test plans, and verify system requirements in support of final customer sell‑off. This onsite role offers exposure to cross‑functional teams and hands‑on lab work.

You will plan IV&V activities, troubleshoot electronics, lead IV&V tasks, and coordinate with IPTLs. A US citizen with security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of hands-on radar system verification and testing experience.
• Experience with system integration, hardware/software integration and verification.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting electronics using common test equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; US citizenship required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute IV&V activities in labs or in the field.
• Troubleshoot and analyze failures, perform root cause and corrective action.
• Handle system hardware modules with test support equipment.
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefs to stakeholders.
• Manage engineering support activities for test and troubleshooting hardware.
• Interpret and maintain design specifications and drawings.
• Maintain engineering databases and documentation.
• Develop system technical solutions with engineering teams.
• Support IPTLs via meetings, working groups, and tasks.
• Lead small IV&V tasks within teams.
• Coordinate across operations, software and hardware for complex tasks.
• Provide test event support travel up to 10%.
