Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Space & Airborne Center. You will integrate hardware and software, develop test plans, and verify system requirements in a hands-on lab environment.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a hands-on approach to IV&V activities across disciplines. Onsite work in El Segundo, with opportunities to collaborate across IPTs and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with required security clearance eligibility.
• Minimum of 5 years troubleshooting electronics and interfaces in DoD or similar environments.
• Experience with common lab test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and lead IV&V activities in labs or field environments.
• Troubleshoot failures, perform data analysis and root cause investigations.
• Handle hardware modules and support equipment for tests.
• Document test results and present findings to stakeholders.
• Coordinate across operations, software, and hardware teams.
• Interpret design specifications and maintain drawings and databases.
• Develop technical solutions with engineering teams and IPTLs.
• Lead small teams on IV&V tasks and coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Travel for test events up to 10% when required.
