Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer in El Segundo, CA for the Space & Airborne (SAS) Center within SE&T Capabilities. You will develop and validate CONOPS, requirements, and test plans, performing data-driven analyses to improve reliability of radar hardware/software and supporting depot sustainment.

You will collaborate across disciplines, perform root-cause analysis, and build Python tools to automate data workflows, with responsibilities spanning IV&V, documentation, and sustainment activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM and 2+ years IV&V experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required before start.

Responsibilities

• Support IV&V planning and execution for RSIL.
• Update CONOPS, requirements, specifications, drawings, and engineering databases.
• Assist in transitioning systems from production through integration, test, warranty, and sustainment.
• Troubleshoot test activities in labs, field, and depot environments (up to 20% travel).
• Conduct data analysis with MATLAB, SQL; develop Python tools to automate workflows.
• Prepare reports and briefings for stakeholders and coordinate discussions across teams.
• Apply predictive analytics to anticipate failures and optimize maintenance planning.
