Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer for the SE&TC Surface Radars & Sensors Center to support radar programs such as AN/TPY-2, EWR, and OTHR in the Long Range Radars Department. The role emphasizes integration, testing, data analysis and collaboration with software and systems teams.

You will lead verification activities, build test plans, and coordinate with DoD licensing and export policies. A STEM degree and 8+ years' experience, plus MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux/Unix, and agile

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux, Unix, and/or other programming language.
• Experience with systems engineering, radar data analysis, integration, verification, validation and/or system testing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in integration and test planning/execution, executing verification/validation and perform scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations.
• Complete system performance assessments and validation testing to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
• Execute integration plans and testing activities according to defined tasks milestones and schedules.
• Integrate and test radar system software builds in a String/HWIL facility for supporting integration, verification, test, and data analysis activities.
• Collaborate with cross-program leads/stakeholders to generate test approaches, ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
• Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware and ensure compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies.
• Willingness for 10% local and non-local travel including experience with domestic and foreign military sales products.
