Job summary

RTX in Woburn, MA is seeking a Principal Radar Systems Engineer to serve as Agile Product Owner for the Surface Radars & Sensors team. You will manage the team backlog, refine epics, and align sprint goals with program milestones on the AN/TPY-2 missile defense radar.

This role requires deep radar engineering expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to interface with customers. You will oversee performance analyses, support proposal efforts, and contribute to system models and test vectors

Qualifications

Typically requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience leading a technical effort.
Experience in overseeing and/or monitoring technical cost and schedule performance.
Experience with Agile Scrum development practices.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management principles and metrics.
Strong communication skills, including writing and presenting.
8+ years of radar engineering or a related discipline.
Experience with MATLAB, C/C++, Python (and related tools).
Active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Manage the Agile team backlog with refined user stories and acceptance criteria.
Refine epics, break them into stories, and set sprint objectives.
Oversee technical, financial, and schedule execution for the team.
Perform radar system performance assessments and end-to-end analyses.
Validate system performance with requirements and test scenarios.
Develop mission plans, radar inputs, and assess test deployment impact.
Conduct performance gap analyses and trade studies for enhancements.
Lead design, prototyping, software development, integration and testing.
Provide technical support for proposals and team financial planning.
