Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Radar Systems Engineer in Woburn, MA, to define radar system requirements, design architectures, and support implementation with software teams. The role supports the AN/TPY-2 radar program within the Long Range Radars Department, onsite in Woburn.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree with 10+ years of radar engineering experience, EP/AWF concepts, and proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, ADA, and DOORS. Active DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with Electronic Protection (EP), Arbitrary Waveform (AWF) and/or advanced signal processing concepts.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Business, or related disciplines.
• Active DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define radar system requirements and architectures; prototype new algorithms to enhance performance.
• Analyze radar performance data to verify compliance with requirements.
• Identify gaps and propose innovative solutions.
• Present plans and analyses to peers and leadership, including external customers.
• Provide SME support to agile software teams for proper implementation.
