Job summary

STR is seeking a Principal Radar Systems Engineer to lead architecting, design, development and implementation of advanced radar systems. You will direct multi-disciplinary teams, validate performance through simulations and testing, and ensure seamless integration across software, hardware and verification activities.

You will work with senior management and customers to translate mission needs into end-to-end radar solutions, applying MBSE and a strong systems engineering lifecycle perspective.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of radar systems experience.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS for SAP, US citizenship required.
• Expert understanding of radar systems, design, verification, and operations support.
• Proficient in MATLAB and radar simulation tools; able to present to customers/senior management.

Responsibilities

• Architect radar systems and lead design, development, and implementation efforts.
• Decompose customer needs and develop system concepts and solutions.
• Model systems and communicate solutions using Cameo or similar tools.
• Lead and collaborate across software, hardware, and test teams; perform performance analysis.
