Job summary
STR is seeking a Principal Radar Systems Engineer to lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of radar systems. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams across software, hardware, integration, and test to meet challenging customer needs and program objectives.
The role requires an active Secret clearance with TS eligibility for SAP programs, plus 10+ years in radar systems engineering and strong MATLAB/Cameo expertise.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS for SAP programs.
- 10+ years of radar systems engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with related radar development background.
Responsibilities
- Researching, understanding, and leading new RF sensing implementations for advanced radar solutions.
- Decomposing customer needs and developing system concepts and solutions.
- Using tools to create, evaluate, and document solutions, including system models in Cameo.
- Designing and directing cutting-edge technology in multi-function radar systems.
- Conducting performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing.
- Ensuring rigorous engineering processes to meet customer needs.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and architectures.
- Developing and specifying simulation tools to verify radar software and hardware components.
