Job summary

Silvus Technologies seeks a Senior Research & Development Systems Engineer for design, simulation, prototyping, and testing of wireless communication and sensing projects. Based at our West Los Angeles, CA headquarters, the role is on a hybrid schedule with on-site days Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The candidate will perform algorithm design, MATLAB/C++ simulations, and field testing while collaborating with hardware and software teams. A US Person is required due to federal contracts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of communication systems design experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Algorithm and protocol design and parameterization for wireless systems projects.
• MATLAB & C/C++ based simulator development and maintenance.
• Fixed point design and simulation in support of hardware implementation.
• Hands-on work with Silvus radio products and R&D prototypes.
• System testing and characterization with lab equipment (signal generation, channel emulation, spectrum analysis).
• Field test planning and execution.
• Collaboration with hardware and software engineers to troubleshoot.
• Report to project lead and management; contribute to technical documentation.
