Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking an engineer to develop process steam distribution and control systems for industrial applications, leveraging steam system experience and an understanding of nuclear power generation. The role requires collaboration across R&D, procurement, and external EPC teams.

Qualifications

• MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in steam and heat distribution system design or operation in petrochemical/chemical industries.
• Experience with safety systems and instrumentation; I&C systems for steam generation and closed-loop SCADA interaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of process steam systems for distribution and interfaces with industrial facilities.
• Define requirements and specifications; analyze cost/benefit trade-offs to meet customer needs.
• Perform thermodynamic analysis of steam systems using modeling and simulation tools.
• Stay current on technologies relevant to process steam and industrial power applications.
• Define scope of work for interdisciplinary systems; liaise between R&D, procurement, EPC, and subcontractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
