Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior R&D Leader in Collegeville, PA to head a 13-FTE multidisciplinary team supporting product development for the Cleaning Growth Platform, with additional support for Pharma and Crop segments. You will drive strategy, safety, and execution across sites in Collegeville and Midland.

Reporting to the Associate R&D Director, you will manage budgets, resources, and IP strategy while collaborating across Product R&D, Process R&D, and commercial teams to deliver innovative

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of relevant technical experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across functions.
• Commitment to safe operations and responsible research.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a multi-site R&D team; set priorities, allocate resources, manage performance, and foster engagement.
• Build organizational capability by attracting and retaining talent and aligning people with business strategy.
• Ensure safe and compliant laboratory operations in Collegeville by championing EHS policies and behaviors.
• Develop and manage the Home Care Cleaning R&D portfolio and technology platforms, including stage-gate progression and launches.
• Lead the cross-functional Cleaning Front End Team and translate strategy into research priorities and execution plans.
• Oversee project delivery against milestones, ensuring rigorous methods and clear documentation.
• Champion new product innovation and IP strategies, including patent filings.
• Partner with Product R&D, TS&D, Process R&D, EI&G R&D, Commercial, Marketing, and other functions to advance research and commercialization.
• Engage customers, universities, and external partners to support products and generate growth.
• Assess portfolio performance, identify capability gaps, and align goals and resources.
• Manage operating budgets, capital plans, and investments to grow capabilities.
