Job summary

nVent is seeking a technical leader to own Data Solutions liquid-cooling product development, including in-row and in-rack CDUs, manifolds, and fluid-distribution solutions. You will translate customer and product needs into engineering specifications, driving system-level decisions across thermal, mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field required.
• 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience including technical leadership of thermal-management and liquid-cooling products.
• Solid understanding of fluid mechanics, hydraulics, heat transfer, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, piping, fittings, sensors, and related components.
• Experience developing system architectures and integrating mechanical and fluid systems with electrical and controls architectures.
• Experience applying engineering design, risk, and validation methodologies such as DFMEA, DFM/DFMA, DRBFM, TRAs, and design reviews.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and making technically sound trade-offs.
• Strong communication and influencing skills; able to translate complex topics into decisions and actions.
• Experience partnering with manufacturing and suppliers through prototyping, validation, and production-launch activities.

Responsibilities

• Own system architecture and technical requirements for data-solutions liquid-cooling programs.
• Drive system-level decisions and cross-disciplinary integration across thermal, mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• Lead design reviews, verification plans, and readiness for production launch.
• Define and implement product verification, validation, and compliance strategies.
• Provide technical leadership from prototyping to production, with hands-on troubleshooting as needed.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams and promote reusable, standardized solutions.
