Meta in Menlo Park seeks a Mechanical Engineer to own next-generation liquid cooling and thermal systems from concept through construction, shaping what gets built at a scale unmatched in the industry.

You’ll define technical direction for hydronic and thermal systems, mentor engineers, and drive programs delivering megawatts of compute capacity, with an expert cross-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering for mission-critical facilities or data centers.
• Experience with liquid cooling systems, chiller plant design, and hydronic systems.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with SD, DD, CD, and CA design phases.
• PE license (Mechanical).
• Experience mentoring engineers and building team capability.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions in writing and presentations.
• Experience with Owners' capital programs and construction administration.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and AI-driven design optimization.
• Acoustics/noise engineering and regulatory compliance.

Responsabilités

• Chart the path for next-generation mechanical systems and emerging technologies.
• Develop future data center designs and programmatic designs.
• Own furnished equipment design, maintenance, and risk management.
• Lead site-specific design localization and support construction administration.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical direction across hydronic and thermal systems.
