Johnson & Johnson’s Orthopaedics team in West Chester, PA seeks a Senior R&D Engineer to lead design and development of implants and instrumentation. This hybrid role guides cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from concept through launch and post-market surveillance.

You will mentor junior engineers, apply GD&T and FEA, and ensure regulatory compliance. Strong communication and project leadership are essential for success.

Competenze

• BS in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering with six years of medical device design experience.
• Experience applying CAD principles, tolerancing, GD&T, and design verification/validation.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage project scope, budgeting, and timelines.

Mansioni

• Act as technical team leader within cross-functional core teams; collaborate with marketing, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory.
• Develop product requirements and concepts; define design parameters for implants/instrumentation.
• Use CAD, prototyping, and testing to generate concepts and validate designs.
• Drive design verification/validation plans and participate in MDR and 510(k) submissions.
