Job summary

MiniMed is seeking an experienced Failure Analysis lead within the CGM Sensor R&D team in Los Angeles, CA. You will lead failure analyses across development phases, interfacing with regulatory, quality, reliability, and clinical teams to identify root causes and guide corrective actions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 2+ years. You will contribute to sustaining and improving CGM technologies and product quality.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and identifying the root cause of failures in complex microfabricated electrochemical bio-sensors.
• Develop, record, and perform various failure analyses to determine failure mechanisms and root causes.
• Write formal analysis reports with clear messaging about analysis findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technicians and other R&D engineers to assess failures and opportunities for product improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and implement corrective actions in development stages.
• Develop new test methodologies to aid in failure analysis of components and products.
• Research and analyze failures in early product development stages to improve quality and reliability.
• Conduct hands-on lab work and define failure analysis strategy across development phases.
