Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Principal R-D Engineer to join our Northridge, CA office. You will lead the development and improvement of next-generation CGM sensors, driving reliability and manufacturability, and guiding root-cause investigations across multiple stages of product development.

You will interface with regulatory, quality, reliability, and clinical teams, implement DMAIC-based problem-solving, design verification strategies, and mentor other engineers while ensuring designs meet

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in a relevant engineering field with 5–7+ years experience.
• Experience leading failure analysis and problem-solving in medical devices.
• Knowledge of designing tests and analysis for reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of problem-solving and root cause methodologies.
• Proactively identify issues and resolve high-complexity problems.
• Troubleshoot failures in microfabricated biosensors and develop test strategies.
• Document protocols and reports across product development stages.
• Present findings to cross functional teams and management.
