Job summary

Wesco in Texas seeks a Senior Specialist – Quotations to develop proposals, bids, and quotations in response to client requests. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and product teams to ensure content is complete, accurate, and timely. You may handle the most complex or high-value inquiries.

You will identify opportunities within current customers and help close quotes, coordinating information for final submissions and supporting cross-functional bidding efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience is required.
• Experience pulling together full bid packages.
• Broad knowledge of product lines and pricing strategies.
• Experience negotiating with customers and suppliers for pricing.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and qualifies potential projects for bid and compiles material requirements.
• Interacts with consultants representing customers to obtain bid approvals.
• Negotiates pricing with suppliers and discusses material specifications.
• Supervises negotiations with suppliers and customers.
• Provides take-offs for customer quotations (data, switchgear, lighting).
• Coordinates collection of required information for final quotation submittal.
• Communicates with customers to resolve bidding issues.
• Follows up on open quotations with salespersons and customers.
• Coordinates quotes with account reps to ensure orders are complete.
• Identifies sales opportunities within current customer base.
