Job summary

D-Wave is seeking a Technical Account Manager in New Haven, CT to lead technical engagements with research clients exploring dual rail qubit systems and simulators.

This client-facing role will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers identify use cases, solve problems, and drive successful adoption of the platform. The role supports onsite or hybrid work for those within commuting distance.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, CS, Engineering, Mathematics or related STEM field (post-doc a plus).
• 5+ years hands-on Python and Qiskit programming experience.
• Familiarity with gate-model quantum computing; specializations in quantum chemistry, ML, or materials science are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagements with research clients and advise on quantum algorithms.
• Present capabilities to prospects and map project ideas to client challenges.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and professional services to deliver value.
• Travel 30–50% to conferences, client meetings, and events.
