Job summary

Fruition Group US is collaborating with a venture-backed quantum technology company to recruit a Senior Quantum Engineer to own hardware and control-stack challenges. You will design, build, and optimize experimental quantum hardware, lead investigations from concept to implementation, and work across physics, hardware and software to advance the platform.

The role emphasizes ownership, IP contribution, and dissemination of results through technical reviews and conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of industry experience designing and operating quantum computing hardware.
• Deep expertise in atomic physics and quantum information.
• Strong understanding of light-matter interactions.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex technical investigations.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own complex technical problems across quantum hardware, scientific instrumentation and control systems.
• Architect and build the experimental hardware and control interfaces underpinning the quantum computing platform.
• Lead technical investigations from concept through experiment, analysis and implementation.
• Design, operate and optimize advanced quantum hardware in a hands-on laboratory environment.
• Drive technical projects independently, working across physics, hardware and software disciplines.
• Contribute to IP and innovation arising from platform development and operation.
• Communicate results through technical reviews, publications and conference presentations where appropriate.
