Job summary

Quantinuum in Broomfield, CO is seeking a Senior Advanced Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development of embedded software for our Apollo quantum computer. The role requires strong experience in embedded software, control hardware concepts, and working in a lab environment.

You will design and debug software for FPGA-based control hardware, collaborate with scientists and FPGA teams, and contribute to rapid prototyping in a fast-paced R&D setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• 6+ years of industry experience in embedded software development.
• 4+ years in an R&D or rapid prototyping environment.
• U.S. national or eligible as required by government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, test, and debug embedded software for FPGA-based quantum computer control hardware.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop new concepts and technologies for quantum computer control.
• Work closely with FPGA developers to implement concepts and validate them on internal testbeds.
• Evaluate new software and hardware to improve quantum computer control.
• Deliver products and meet program goals in an R&D/rapid prototyping environment.
