Job description

We are seeking a Senior Quantum Engineer to lead the design, integration, and scaling of our quantum hardware systems. As a senior technical leader, you will combine hands‑on engineering with strategic system‑level insight, driving the development of microelectronic and RF architectures for quantum control and readout. You will play a pivotal role in defining design choices that shape the company’s platform and set the standard for engineering excellence across the organization.

This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who excels in first‑principles problem solving, rapid prototyping, and building complex systems from the ground up. You will thrive in a collaborative, early‑stage environment that values creativity, rigor, and impact — and have the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the technical foundation and culture of a growing company.

Company Overview

Quoherent is a pioneering company revolutionizing quantum computing by bringing it to the edge. Our goal is to create quantum platforms using the unique properties of topological materials. With a team of leading scientists, engineers, and disruptive technology investors, we are committed to building the extraordinary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead system design and development of advanced RF and microelectronic circuits, resonant cavities, and waveguide systems for quantum control and readout.
  • Integrate across analog, digital, and RF domains to deliver low‑noise, high‑stability performance in deployable systems.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with software and FPGA teams to ensure seamless control, synchronization, and data acquisition workflows.
  • Develop automation, calibration, and test infrastructure to accelerate experimental iteration and system validation.
  • Establish engineering standards and workflows for the company’s new facility, including best practices for design, simulation, testing, and documentation.
  • Mentor and guide engineers and scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence, curiosity, and collaboration.
  • Contribute to long‑term platform strategy, helping to define scalable architectures and design principles for future generations of quantum hardware.
