You will lead a group of engineers, collaborate with physicists, electrical, mechanical, software, and optical engineers, and help define the direction of our verification strategies. The role emphasizes developing test plans, performing environmental and EMI/EMC testing, analyzing data, and mentoring junior engineers in a lab setting.

Qualifications

• BSEE or MSEE with leadership experience testing precision instruments
• Experience in a laboratory environment and reading schematics
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech
• Experience creating testing protocols for precision instruments
• Proficient in post-test data analysis to extract performance metrics
• Experience drafting test plans for novel instrumentation

Responsibilities

• Lead a growing team tasked with testing and debugging complex electronic circuits including FPGAs and MCUs
• Collaborate with physicists and engineers to develop test procedures for next-generation quantum instruments
• Define DFT/DFM improvements with engineering and manufacturing
• Create test plans for environmental, EMI and EMC testing and manage external facility testing
• Use test equipment to characterize and verify performance
• Develop automated data systems for production using hardware and software
