Job summary

IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Control Electronics engineer to own board-level designs for quantum computer control electronics. You will design analogue, RF, DAC/ADC, FPGA and high-speed logic layouts with strong signal and power integrity, moving designs from schematic capture to tested prototypes.

You will characterise hardware using oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers, write automated tests, and participate in design reviews while adhering to project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Real board-level analogue and RF experience; ability to move between time and frequency domains.
• Comfort in the lab with oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers; able to automate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Design custom board level assemblies covering precision analogue, RF, mixed signal DAC and ADC, FPGA and high speed logic layout, with signal and power integrity.
• Take designs from schematic capture and simulation to working prototypes.
• Characterise hardware with oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and automated test.
• Contribute to design reviews across projects.
• Work to a schedule while requirements are moving.
