Job summary

Commence seeks a Senior Quantitative Researcher to advance CMS/CMMI APM implementation and evaluation. You will translate policy goals into actionable methodologies using Medicare/Medicaid data, and drive analyses that inform federal decision‑making and program design.

In collaboration with economists, data scientists, and engineers, you will develop novel approaches on the Commence platform, author methodology documents and evaluation reports, and mentor junior researchers while leading project

Qualifications

• Hands-on CMS/CMMI APM implementation/evaluation experience.
• Experience designing and conducting evaluations for federal programs.
• Strong writing for federal audiences and proposal experience.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid data and related datasets.

Responsibilities

• Translate policy goals into operational methodologies using claims and program data.
• Design and conduct evaluations to estimate impacts on spending, utilization, and quality.
• Collaborate with economists, data scientists, and engineers on research and prototypes.
• Lead development of methodology documents, evaluation reports, and briefings for model teams.
• Mentor junior researchers and manage project tasks and client engagements.
