Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Quality Systems Engineer in Bastrop, TX to strengthen the quality management system and drive continual improvement across mechanical and electrical product design, testing, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical product design, testing, or manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO9001 and quality auditing.

Responsibilities

• Provide management system training and guidance to SpaceX management, departments, and internal customers.
• Build, implement, and improve policy, procedures and systems that meet SpaceX business objectives to assure compliance to customer requirements and industry standards.
• Asses SpaceX business processes, systems, and products through internal audit program to assure compliance to customer requirements, SpaceX procedures and policies, and ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards.
• Utilize corrective and preventive action processes to correct compliance non‑conformances and drive improvement of the management system.
• Initiate change request of management system procedures, policies, and internal audit checklist while leading implementation efforts.
• Support internal audits, vendor/supplier audits, and audits from external parties
