Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Quality Systems Engineer for Starlink to enhance the quality management system and lead ISO 9001 compliance.

This onsite role in Bastrop, TX will plan, schedule, and perform audits, drive continual improvement, and interact with multiple technical disciplines. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in mechanical or electrical product design, testing, or manufacturing, strong knowledge of ISO standards, and hands-on audit experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical product design, testing, or manufacturing.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical product design, testing, or manufacturing.
• Thorough knowledge of the ISO family of standards especially ISO9001.
• ASQ-CQA-RAB certified lead auditor or training with hands on implementation and assessment experience.
• Experience with quality tools including root cause and corrective action, QMS and process auditing, and statistical analysis of quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide management system training and guidance to SpaceX management, departments, and internal customers
• Build, implement, and improve policy, procedures and systems that meet SpaceX business objectives to assure compliance to customer requirements and industry standards
• Asses SpaceX business processes, systems, and products through internal audit program to assure compliance to customer requirements, SpaceX procedures and policies, and ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards
• Utilize corrective and preventive action processes to correct compliance non-conformances and drive improvement of the management system
• Initiate change request of management system procedures, policies, and internal audit checklist while leading implementation efforts
• Support internal audits, vendor/supplier audits, and audits from external parties
