Job summary

JLG Industries, an Oshkosh company, seeks a senior quality leader to integrate reliability and robustness into New Product Development. You will drive APQP, DFMEA, and Six Sigma initiatives, partner with engineering to mitigate risks, and lead manufacturing launch quality activities.

The role combines office work with field or production environment exposure, requiring strong project management and communication skills across all levels of the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations management, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in related work experience.
• Master's Degree in Reliability Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
• Demonstrated hands on Design for Reliability, Design for Robustness or Design For Six Sigma experience.
• Experience deploying quality breakthroughs in NPD Process.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills across large teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integration of quality, reliability, and robustness into product design using APQP, DFMEA, and Design for Six Sigma.
• Partner with engineering to mitigate design risks and ensure product performance meets expectations.
• Serve as escalation point within quality workstream to resolve high-impact issues.
• Lead APQP process in manufacturing launch activities.
• Institutionalize PFMEA, Control Plans, and Reaction plans in manufacturing launches.
• Provide hands-on coaching on PFMEA, Control Plans, and APQP.
• Develop and execute training for the manufacturing team.
• Lead and train teams in 8D and Six Sigma problem solving.
• Develop best practice quality tools for manufacturing.
• Provide strategic guidance to manufacturing quality.
