Job summary

The Quality Engineer at Oshkosh's JLG unit will lead cross-functional quality and process improvements across the product lifecycle. You will analyze warranty data, support APQP, and develop standardized quality processes while mentoring teams in problem-solving methods.

You will balance technical troubleshooting with project management, drive RCCA activities, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supplier Quality to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field.
• Background in manufacturing quality and data analytics.
• Experience with heavy machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality and process improvement projects.
• Review quality data to identify trends and risks.
• Facilitate RCCA using 8D, 5-Why, fishbone.
• Lead APQP activities including PFMEA and control plans.
• Coordinate internal quality audits.
• Develop standardized quality processes and work instructions.
• Support product launches and process changes.
• Analyze warranty data to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supplier Quality.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma to reduce waste.
