Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Senior Program Manager - Quality Management in New York to lead CAPD’s Project Quality Management across infrastructure initiatives. You will establish governance, drive QA activities, and foster continuous improvement while collaborating with Project Directors, Engineers, and Procurement teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of related experience; a Master’s degree and PMP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in project management, engineering, quality management, construction, or related field required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Plus 9 years of relevant work experience.
• Master’s degree in engineering, construction, quality management, project management or related field preferred.
• Combined 11–15 years of experience in engineering, construction, quality management and/or project management for capital projects may be beneficial.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Quality Management function within the QM&T Unit for successful delivery of infrastructure capital projects.
• Establish a consistent framework for project quality management across the project lifecycle.
• Provide guidance to project teams to ensure adherence to CAPD procedures and continuous improvement.
• Manage quality assurance activities, performance monitoring, audits, and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams across CAPD.
