Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead moderate to high complexity workstreams within the Airo Fleet Program, part of the Capital Delivery group. You’ll coordinate cross‑functional teams, vendors and milestones, with regular reporting to senior leadership to ensure on‑time, within‑budget delivery of fleet upgrades.

Onsite 4/5 days, travel up to 25%. Requirements: 6–8+ years in project management, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and PMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; 6+ years of relevant experience
• 6 years of prior relevant experience required
• 8+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
• Experience with budgeting and scheduling processes
• Transportation industry background preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple subject matter experts, departments, vendors, and assets to meet milestones.
• Establish collaboration among stakeholders for scoping, financial and resource decisions.
• Prepare and manage communication protocols with internal and external stakeholders.
• Execute the program change management process across the Program.
• Build strong relationships within Amtrak to identify efficiencies and improvements.
• Develop deliverables for compliance with grant requirements and internal policies.
