Job summary

Tectonic Engineering seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for rail transit projects, including NYCT, based in Forest Hills, NY. This full-time role coordinates QA reviews, works with PMs and engineers, and leads QA/QC activities on major civil and rail projects.

Applicants should have a minimum of 8 years in construction QA/QC, a BS in engineering, ASQ certification preferred, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related work experience in civil/structural inspections and testing techniques.
• Demonstrated QA/QC or Quality Management experience in construction; rail transit experience preferred.
• BS Degree in Engineering or related field strongly preferred; HS Diploma/Equivalent required.
• ASQ certification(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA reviews of submittals per project procedures and compliance.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Resident Engineers, and Quality Managers to monitor performance and maintain records.
• Create and maintain project audit schedule and perform quality audits.
• Issue corrective actions and monitor compliance; identify areas for improvement in QA processes.
• Attend/lead project quality meetings and support safety protocols.
