Job summary

Amtrak is seeking an experienced construction program manager to oversee projects from conception to completion across our nationwide network. You will collaborate with program managers, engineers, contractors, and leadership to ensure scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements are met.

Required: bachelor's degree or equivalent and 6+ years in construction management; PMP/CCM certification is a plus. Onsite work with travel up to 25% may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• PMP or CCM certification is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee capital construction to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Review potential change notices with justification and submit to PM.
• Conduct site visits to assess feasibility and scope requirements.
• Monitor production metrics and provide status updates.
• Coordinate development of technical work procedures for construction requirements.
• Analyze problems and propose solutions aligned with project objectives.
