LHH is seeking an experienced on-site Quality Manager in Skokie, IL to lead and continuously enhance the Quality Management System for a growing manufacturer of cable assemblies, wire harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, and connectors.

You will ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements while driving a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the organization. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of quality management experience in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, quality systems, auditing, SPC, CAPA, and CI methodologies.
• Experience in cable assembly, wire harness, electronics manufacturing, or industrial assembly preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and maintain the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
• Oversee quality assurance, quality control, supplier quality, customer quality, and corrective actions.
• Establish and monitor key quality metrics (FPY, defect rates, returns, COPQ).
• Serve as primary quality contact for customers, lead investigations and corrective actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto analyses.
• Manage internal, customer, supplier, and third-party audits.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and CI initiatives to reduce waste and defects.
• Lead and develop Quality Inspectors and Quality Engineers.
