Major Die & Engineering Co. in Itasca, IL seeks a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality function and drive operational excellence.

This role collaborates with ownership, production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet the highest standards. You will own the ISO 9001 QMS, lead audits, manage PPAP submissions, and mentor the team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading quality in manufacturing.
• Hands-on with ISO 9001 systems and audits.
• PPAP Level 3/4 submissions experience.
• Familiar with 8D problem solving and CARs.
• Strong metrology and drawing interpretation.
• Industrial tooling/manufacturing background.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Lead internal and external audits, CAPAs, and continuous improvement.
• Drive 8D problem solving and CAR processes.
• Manage PPAP submissions and customer quality requirements.
• Review drawings, specs, metrology data, and inspection results.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to improve quality and efficiency.
• Train team on quality standards and procedures.
• Support supplier quality and customer-facing quality initiatives.
