Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Quality Control Manager to lead the project’s quality program from preconstruction through closeout and act as the primary contact for government QA staff and the Contracting Officer.

You will interpret plans and specs, drive corrective actions, review submittals, and coordinate with inspectors to keep projects on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in QC, DoD/Federal experience, and a CQM-C certification or path to obtain it.

Qualificações

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in the Quality Control industry.
• Ideal candidate will have experience supporting quality control on DoD/Federal construction projects.
• Current USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification, or the ability to obtain it before start.
• Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes and standards, and an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards.
• Ability to interpret instructions whether written, spoken, or in a diagram.
• Excellent computer skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
• Highly proactive and responsive to internal and external customers.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the quality program from preconstruction through closeout.
• Be the primary quality contact for government QA staff and Contracting Officer.
• Interpret plans and specs to drive corrective actions.
• Prepare submittals and coordinate with inspectors.
• Review drawings and specifications for constructability and compliance.
• Identify nonconforming work and drive corrective actions.
• Document test results and maintain audit-ready records.
• Deliver reports for project managers and clients.
• Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated and maintained.
• Conduct internal quality audits.
• Coordinate with Site Safety and Health Officer to integrate quality and safety.
• Collaborate with government agencies during inspections.
• Lead pre-final and final inspections and closeout documentation.
• Coach QC staff and field leadership on quality expectations.
