Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Arecibo, Puerto Rico seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to support daily manufacturing operations, drive corrective actions, and ensure robust control plans across production areas. You will collaborate with Operations, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to improve quality performance and implement Six Sigma, PFMEA, and DPPM reductions.

The role supervises Quality personnel, manages inspection inventories, and leads Lean/Kaizen events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting manufacturing operations.
• Strong background & knowledge in Quality tools and processes.
• Exposure to support of internal/external audits.
• Availability to work extended hours when required.
• Fully bilingual – English/Spanish with excellent oral and written communication.
• PC proficiency including knowledge of MS Windows operating systems, MS Office and Minitab.
• EHS practices, regulations, and procedures experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to daily operations—respond to line issues, contain defects, and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and evaluate manufacturing improvements based on findings from inspections or customer findings.
• Design/maintain layout of equipment and workspace for Quality labs.
• Create Standard Work Instructions and visual aids.
• Train and certify operators and inspectors on assigned workstations.
• Lead Lean/Kaizen events in the manufacturing area.
• Monitor processes and implement corrective actions using problem-solving tools.
• Analyze equipment/process using Six Sigma tools to identify improvements.
• Lead scrap reduction, FPY improvement and yield enhancements.
