Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to drive product and process quality, lead quality initiatives, and collaborate across departments to achieve superior customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years in quality engineering within manufacturing, strong ISO 9001/IATF 16949 knowledge, and expertise in RCA, SPC, and QMS. CPC/Lean Six Sigma certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive quality engineering experience in manufacturing or assembly.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Experience with RCA methodologies (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys) and CAPA.
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, control plans and other quality tools.
• CQE or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QMS (ISO 9001) across the product lifecycle.
• Lead RCA and CAPA processes for quality issues.
• Conduct internal and external audits for compliance and improvement.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and proactive solutions.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs for employees.
• Participate in NPI processes to address quality from early stages.
• Support customer complaint investigations and timely resolutions.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen to continuous improvement.
