ENERCON is expanding its Corporate Quality organization and seeking a Quality Engineer to strengthen the Quality Management System across a diverse and technically complex portfolio of work.

In high-stakes environments, quality isn’t just a box to check – it’s a reputation to defend. This role focuses on auditing internal operations, suppliers, and project execution activities from inception through execution, with senior opportunities for remote work within the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a scientific discipline is required.
• 6+ years of quality assurance experience in regulated or engineering environments.
• Experience auditing engineering design packages, internal processes, and suppliers.
• Knowledge of standards such as 10 CFR Part 21, 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, ASME/ANSI NQA-1, and ISO 9001.
• Lead Auditor experience; NQA-1 qualification preferred; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• Strong auditing techniques, and ability to read/interpret engineering documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• US Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform internal audits and external supplier audits and surveillances.
• Review contracts, purchase orders, and agreements to ensure flow-down of quality requirements.
• Review and improve quality procedures supporting the QMS and project management.
• Prepare, issue, and manage Corrective Action Reports and verify effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, procurement, and operations to resolve quality issues.
