Job summary

ENERCON is expanding its Corporate Quality organization and seeks a Quality Engineer to strengthen our QMS across a diverse, technically complex portfolio. The role emphasizes audits, supplier reviews, and process improvement from inception through execution.

Qualified candidates bring 6+ years in regulated environments, lead-auditor experience, and strong communication skills. Some senior roles may be remote within the US, with competitive compensation and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 6+ years of quality assurance in regulated or engineering consulting environments.
• Ideal experience with engineering/design consulting firms providing quality support.
• Experience auditing engineering design packages, internal processes, and suppliers.
• Knowledge of 10 CFR Part 21, 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, ASME/ANSI NQA-1, ISO 9001.
• Lead Auditor experience; NQA-1 qualification preferred.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, auditing techniques, and corrective action processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering technical documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Auditing & Compliance: Plan and perform internal/external audits and surveillances.
• Contract & Requirement Review: Ensure flow-down of quality requirements.
• Quality Systems & Procedures: Review and improve procedures; drive ongoing QA improvements.
• Corrective Action & Root Cause: Manage CA Reports and verify effectiveness.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, PM, procurement, and operations.
