Job summary

HyperStrong International USA Corp is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead field quality for BESS project delivery across the US region. This hands-on role requires implementing quality programs, conducting inspections, and driving timely resolution of issues in the field.

You will work with EPC contractors, manage NCRs and CAPA, perform root-causes, and maintain quality records while collaborating with commissioning and service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within energy storage, power systems, or construction.
• Experience implementing quality programs, field procedures, and inspection standards in field environments.
• Background in electrical trades; ability to assess BESS equipment and workmanship in the field.
• Hands-on field inspection experience including delivery inspections and pre-commissioning checks.
• Proven experience leading RCA and CAPA processes; familiarity with 8D reporting.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain quality programs, inspection procedures, and checklists for BESS project delivery across the US Region.
• Evaluate and recommend quality management tools and systems to support inspection tracking, NCR management, and reporting.
• Conduct field inspections during equipment delivery and pre-commissioning to verify workmanship and compliance.
• Hold EPC contractors and subcontractors accountable to HyperStrong quality standards; document non-conformances and expedite resolutions.
• Identify quality issues in the field and drive timely resolution; raise NCRs and manage corrective actions to closure.
• Lead RCA and CAPA processes; apply 8D reporting to identify systemic patterns and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate quality records including inspection reports, NCRs, CAPA logs, and lessons-learned documentation.
• Collaborate with Commissioning and Field Service teams to ensure consistent application of standards across projects.
• Escalate quality findings to leadership; provide regular reporting on inspection outcomes and quality metrics.
• Meet with HQ Manufacturing to resolve design and quality issues identified in the field.
