Job summary

You will implement quality plans, drive root-cause analysis, and partner with customers and suppliers to ensure compliance with military specifications. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years of experience, and Six Sigma/ASQ familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• ASQ certification or Black Belt preferred.
• Proficient with ISO Standards, Six Sigma tools, statistics.
• Ability to understand military specifications and to read blueprints.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication and writing skills.
• Ability to define problems and drive to root cause and effective corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Develop program quality system processes and support product quality improvements.
• Lead efforts to develop maintain and deploy quality plans and activities translating customer requirements into planned activities.
• Lead a group of engineers, technicians and/or inspectors.
• Provide ongoing quality system support including internal audits and corrective actions.
• Lead product quality improvement teams, MRB and FRB.
• Evaluate and dispose of non-conforming material.
• Provide technical support for Assembly/Test/Inspection personnel and interpret specifications.
• Act as main customer and senior management interface for quality issues and root-cause action.
• Develop and deploy SPC initiatives internally and with suppliers.
• Lead supplier quality evaluations and on-site audits.
