Job summary

Kaleidoscope, an Infosys Company, is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer for an onsite role in Lafayette, IN. The candidate will lead APQP activities, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure AIAG and customer-specific compliance while driving defect prevention and process improvement.

The role requires 5–12 years of quality engineering experience, a relevant engineering degree, and strong root-cause analysis skills to support high-volume manufacturing and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• 5–12 years of relevant experience in quality engineering.
• Basic understanding of quality tools such as root cause analysis and 5 Why.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes and shop floor environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage APQP activities from product development through production launch.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Production).
• Ensure compliance with AIAG and customer-specific requirements.
• Prepare Control Plans, PFMEA, PFDs, Inspection Standards, SPC.
• 8D Methodology, 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, A3 Problem Solving.
• Perform root cause analysis and investigate quality issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
• Proactive approach toward defect prevention and quality improvement.
• Support implementation of best practices focused on defect prevention, variation reduction, and waste elimination.
• Conduct process audits and layered process audits (LPA).
• Reduce defects and waste.
• Improve First Pass Yield (FPY).
• Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Documentation of problems and proposing practical solutions.
• Understanding of different stakeholder perspectives while analyzing issues.
