Job summary

TetraScience, Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to own quality for scientific use cases in a squad with developers, scientists and data engineers. You will lead end-to-end quality, sign off releases, and drive automated testing across UI, API, and database layers using Playwright.

You will leverage AI to enhance test design and evidence, work in a validated environment, and collaborate with distributed teams to ensure high-quality software for a top-five pharmaceutical customer.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in quality engineering or SDET roles.
• Proven ownership of quality for a product area independently.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and SDLC in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Proven expertise designing test plans and cases and reporting defects meticulously.
• Proficiency in Python, Java or JavaScript with hands-on Playwright experience.
• Advanced SQL and experience with data warehouses/Databricks is a plus.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, data pipelines, AWS, and Jira/Zephyr Scale.

Responsibilities

• Own quality for your use cases and sign off releases with QA authority.
• Trace delivered work to requirements and ensure evidence supports them.
• Ensure SDLC compliance with validated test environments.
• Build and own test automation across UI, API and database layers using Playwright.
• Improve testing approaches: coverage, cycle time, and release evidence.
• Use AI to generate tests and strengthen the quality process.
• Collaborate with scientists and data engineers across distributed teams.
• Plan QE work, manage delivery, and resolve blockers independently.
