Job summary

Prudentia Sciences is hiring its first dedicated QA Engineer to design and implement automated testing across UI, API, and data pipelines in a hybrid U.S. role. You’ll leverage AI tools to build tests, own quality gates in CI/CD, and ensure secure handling of sensitive biomedical data.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, and ML teams to translate scientific requirements into robust, scalable tests and drive quality across the platform as it scales in a high-demand biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Proven experience testing modern web applications and automating tests.
• Hands-on with Playwright, Cypress, and API testing tools.
• Experience owning tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Daily use of AI coding tools with validation of outputs.
• Experience designing load or performance tests.
• Ability to read code and work with engineers to design tests.
• Experience testing data-driven applications.
• Clear bug reporting and release readiness communication.
• Familiarity with secure data handling and testing in sensitive domains.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and data pipelines.
• Use AI coding tools daily to build and maintain tests and verify outputs.
• Own the automated quality gates in CI/CD pipelines, prioritizing fast, reliable releases.
• Test at the API layer by default and catch breaking changes before production.
• Lead performance, load, and reliability testing to meet high-availability requirements.
• Identify, document, and triage defects with clear reproduction steps and prioritize fixes.
• Validate ML-driven outputs as they move through orchestrations to user views.
• Ensure secure handling of data and compliance with healthcare data practices.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and science teams to translate requirements into tests.
• Promote testability in design reviews and broaden test coverage over time.
