Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, seeks a Quality Control Manager in Ohio to lead QC technicians, ensure compliance with industry specs, and drive improvements across asphalt and aggregates production. This role collaborates with Production, QC, and sales teams and requires travel as needed to multiple sites.

The position emphasizes safety leadership, calibration of testing equipment, and development of staff to meet project specs and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or related experience.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Promote and ensure safety in day-to-day activities.
• Meet all requirements for the Ohio Department of Transportation, Levels 2 and 3 (asphalt), Levels 1, 2, and 3 (aggregate).
• Continually improve operations to leverage Vertical Integration Capabilities and optimize asphalt mix design.
• Recruit, coach, and develop employees to strengthen the workforce.
• Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach and strong business acumen.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
