Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking entry-level Quality Control Technicians to test aggregates and asphalt mix, monitor temperatures and densities, and assist in ensuring specifications are met. Roles may include night work and overtime along with company-sponsored certifications.

Employees will use basic computer tools and collaborate with paving crews to adjust processes for quality compliance and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equal skill level.
• Ability to carry out standardized laboratory tests in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards.
• Ability to learn basic computer software skills such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Test materials in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
• Identify and become familiar with mix specifications requirements.
• Monitor quality of hot mix asphalt pavement.
• Input test results into computers in laboratories and remote locations.
• Communicate test results and collaborate with paving personnel.
