Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Quality Control Manager with heavy civil construction experience to lead the QC program on dam and lock electrical projects in Boise, ID. You will oversee inspection, testing, submittals, and ensure compliance with contract documents and specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in a QC capacity.
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work is required.
• USACE CQCM certification or ability to obtain certification.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures.
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings.
• Verify materials meet approved submittals and specifications.
• Execute required testing procedures per contract documents and industry standards.
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation (daily reports, testing/inspection reports, preparatory/initial meetings).
• Review special inspections and material testing performed by third parties.
