The Tepa Companies seek a Quality Control Manager to oversee project site quality control on a USACE construction project, including tests, documentation, and defect management at Lake Red Rock near Des Moines, IA.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management, 5+ years on federal projects, RMS/QCS experience, OSHA 30, and the ability to travel to multiple project sites.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• 5+ years of relevant construction experience.
• Experience on federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, VA, NPS, or other federal agencies).
• Proven experience establishing and maintaining effective quality control systems on USACE and other federal projects.
• Experience using Army RMS/QCS system.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, terminology.
• Proficient with construction software and ability to manage QC programs.
• Ability to travel between project sites.

• Oversees construction projects from start to finish with focus on QC.
• Conducts preparatory, initial and follow-up meetings to establish QC standards.
• Verifies materials conform to submittals and are stored properly.
• Keeps daily QC reports and submits meeting notes to Government personnel.
• Reviews plans and specs to identify risk factors and QC needs.
• Performs tests to verify control measures meet contract requirements.
• Oversees subcontractors to ensure QC and safety compliance.
• Maintains as-built drawings and project submittal log.
• Schedules and documents inspections to conform to contract.
• Stops work if safety/quality is jeopardized.
